The lore in Warhammer 40k is mind boggling, giving James Swallow a lot of room to awe and impress the reader. Faith and Flame: I liked it a lot, but I'm biased, as I bought the book solely because it featured the Sisters of Battle, and I hadn't read anything prior to that. We also came home with some books To the left is Faith & Fire by James Swallow, which I have wanted to read for some time now. 40k novels i have read include Faith and Fire, Warrior Brood/Coven, Grey Knight Trilogy and i am currently reading books from the horus heresy all the above novels i have enjoyed and would recommend. Syp speculates that it is strange how they are going about giving out info. )) More seriously, I can't say anything but Cain and the Ghosts, but if you like Cain, try one of the source novels, the Flashman series by George McDonald Frasier. Not me I think it's a little refreshing. I kinda like how the books start off and I am like “damn, these guys suck, how can I cheer for them when they just go around the galaxy murdering people”… not sure if I can like Chaos either… have not gotten deep enough in the books to tell yet..
